About PMC SportsNet — Our Story and Mission

PMC SportsNet didn't start in 2026. It started over twenty years ago, under a different name, with the same conviction — that amateur sports communities deserve better technology.

In 2003, founder Phil Chimbolo launched PMCWare, a small web development operation driven by a personal passion for sports and software. By 2004, PMCWare released the first version of e-LeagueManager — one of the earliest web-based league management platforms for amateur baseball and softball. At a time when most leagues were still passing around printed schedules and calling in scores by phone, e-LeagueManager gave commissioners a way to manage teams, post standings, and share results online.

A second version followed in 2013, but the economics of maintaining a web platform as a solo operation proved unsustainable. In 2016, e-LeagueManager was taken offline. The passion never went away — but the tools and resources to do it right weren't there yet.

A decade later, everything has changed. Cloud infrastructure, modern web frameworks, mobile-first design, and AI-assisted development have made ideas that were once out of reach not just possible, but achievable. In 2026, Phil relaunched the company as PMC SportsNet, Inc. — a sports technology firm with the same founding passion, a broader vision, and the technology to deliver on it.

We believe quality software should serve everyone — not just major leagues and well-funded organizations. Our mission is to bring professional-grade tools to the amateur sports communities that are too often overlooked.

Most sports technology is built for billion-dollar franchises and broadcast networks. We take a different approach. PMC SportsNet focuses on the communities that major tech overlooks — amateur leagues that still run on spreadsheets and group texts.

League Leader gives amateur baseball and softball organizations the same caliber of tools that professional leagues rely on — scheduling, rosters, statistics, real-time communication, and custom branded sites — at a price and simplicity that actually fits how amateur leagues operate.

We're a small, focused team that ships. Rather than spreading thin across a dozen half-finished ideas, we put our energy into doing each product exceptionally well — and we explore independent side projects when an idea is worth building.

League Leader is our focus, but it isn't the only thing we build. When a good idea is worth shipping, we ship it — even when it has nothing to do with sports.

Our first side project is Sentinel Authenticator, a simple, private two-factor authentication app (2FA / TOTP) coming soon to the Microsoft Store. It's independent from our sports work, but built to the same standard of craft — and there will be more side projects to come.

We are an early-stage company with a decades-long foundation. The ideas that drove e-LeagueManager in 2004 are the same ideas driving PMC SportsNet today — just with far better technology, a wider lens, and the ambition to serve amateur leagues across the country.

Our near-term focus is getting League Leader into the hands of real commissioners and growing it based on what they actually need. Alongside it, we'll keep shipping the occasional side project when an idea earns the time.

Every product decision we make is guided by one question: does this make things better for the people who use it?
